  • History
    The Rolex Middle Sea Race is one of the great classic offshore races, and sits happily beside the Rolex Fastnet Race and the Rolex Sydney to Hobart. It is not for nothing that the world's fastest boats cite the Rolex Middle Sea Race as a major objective.

    All boats participating in the Rolex Middle Sea Race are entitled to free berthing during and after the Rolex Middle Sea Race. Grand Harbour Marina is located in Vittoriosa in the three cities area.

  • History
    The history of the Royal Malta Yacht Club is an amazing one. It dates back to 1835 and, over the years, has changed it's name on a number of occasions.
  • Committee members
    The RMYC Committee is headed by the Commodore of the Royal Malta Yacht Club and is responsible for the day to day running of all events organised by the Club. The Committee consists of nine members and meet two to three times monthly.

    Manoel Island was originally known as l'Isola del Vescovo or il-G|ira tal-Isqof in Maltese (literally translated as "the Bishop's Island"). In 1643 Jean Paul Lascaris, Grandmaster of the Knights of Malta, constructed a quarantine hospital on the island.
